Big Day Film Collective is hosting its 1st Annual Open Call Short Film Festival special evenings throughout September (weather permitting), with official viewing September 26, 2020 and October 3, 2020 in conjunction with Free Fringe Philly (also weather permitting).
The Short Films are all made by the award recipients of an Open Call for Avant-Garde film makers. These prestigious film makers were awarded spots in the festival based on their merits for original concept and excellence in execution. The Big Day Avant-Garde Short Film Festival will be projected outdoors starting at sundown and will be looped throughout the day.
On the 5th loop, musicians are invited to bring their acoustic instruments to join in playing a live score over the short films, á la Thurston Moore and James Nares, Street. No admission fee. All are welcome. Bring your instruments to play along!
